1. Training courses
The training programme on membrane technology will serve as a starting platform at the beginning of the project in order to establish the basis for all further action of technology transfer. The European partners University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe (UASK) and the Institute for Membrane Technology (ITM) will organise 2 training programs given at the Asian partner universities at Shah Jalal University of Science & Technology (SUST, Bangladesh) and Jiangsu Polytechnic University (JPU, China).

The target groups are experts in the field of water process engineering from partner university SUST (Bangladesh) and JPU (China) as well as experts from our local industrial and governmental partners in the two target countries.

One training session will take 7 days tuition including excursions to local membrane and textile factories

Schedule:
 Training at Jiangsu Polytechnic University (JPU) / China in June 2005
 Training at Shah Jalal University of Science & Technology (SUST) / Bangladesh in September 2005
2. Seminars
Two seminar/workshops will be organized with the active participation of researchers and practicians engaged in the materialization of the project. This will be
 Seminar1 with title “Water and Waste Water Treatment in Asia: Present State and Future Needs” at JPU in Changzhou (China) in June 2005.
 Seminar2 titled “Modern Trends in European Water Treatment Technology” organized by UASK in Karlsruhe (Germany) in November 2005.
